ÓRIS2019/22

duo Paisagens Móveis: Bárbara Lissa and Maria Vaz

Digging a hole in the ground, getting deeper and deeper, we find the other side of space: Óris is or could be a place, a being, a people, a word, some unknown language. It is the unknown itself, both in the origin of the name and in what it presents - a strange familiar landscape, a passage to a time and space other than this now. Faced with the fragmentation and growing crisis that we are experiencing in the Anthropocene, these landscape-images place us in a state of suspension, because between mythical scenarios and bodies that walk leaving trails of light, the images invite us to pause, to observe, to dream of approximations and imagine new worlds for living beings.
