THREE MOMENTS OF A RIVER

duo Paisagens Móveis: Bárbara Lissa and Maria Vaz

A river overflows the asphalt, crosses time, transports the city, dreams of boats. He insists. Three Moments of a River, by the duo Paisagens Móveis, is a poetic and photographic fable of the urban rivers of the city of Belo Horizonte, in a profusion of times that look at their past, present and possible futures. The photobook is accompanied by a literary Folhetim notebook, dated 2025, when the city overflows whereverdrains the blue. We must remember that a river resists.

ILLUSTRIOUS

Maria Vaz

(...) Athe mixing of times and perspectives, realities and imaginaries, Maria breaks the official discourse with irrefutable and factual proof, and, by focusing on the image of the child, she presents us with a certain freedom. From the solemn, the artist focuses on the playfulo, of control, in the fortuitous. With humor, but aware of the gravity, she opposes concepts dear to patriarchy. And we, readers, have the possibility of opening up

these cracks opened by the artist, and build another memory about the role of childhood - in images and in society. (...)

ORIS

duo Paisagens Móveis: Bárbara Lissa and Maria Vaz

Óris, a strange familiar landscape, a displaced space-time, a slightly inverted horizon. A field notebook that carries the unknown, both in the origin of its name and in the memory of the hole in the earth. Faced with the fragmentation and growing crisis that we experience in the Anthropocene, these landscape-images place us in a state of suspension, because between mythical scenarios and bodies that walk leaving trails of light, the records invite us to pause, to observe, to dream of approximations and imagine new worlds for living beings.
